This is another odd and unexpected movie. I have no idea what to expect from this movie, but it’s funny that I found out about this after seeing the Sonic announcement. Weird choice of cast again; Ryan Reynolds who plays Deadpool, a foul-mouthed superhero, is playing Pikachu, an adorable Pokemon creature. They’re definitely at odds with each other and I’m not quite sure how well a live action Pokemon movie will play out. I can only hope that Detective Pikachu has to investigate a violent murder, with lots of blood and gore, and is just as potty-mouthed as Deadpool. It would be much older than its intended audience but it sure would make for an interesting kids’ movie.
