For the first time in a year I’ve started writing scripts again! This is fantastic news for me, I’m feeling so much better now I have a project to work on again. I think I kept putting it off because so many of my friends were writing better than me or directing better films. I’ve slowly learned not to compare

myself to others. It’s a cliché but it’s true; the only progress you should be looking at is your own.

I think the other thing that has helped with this project is proper planning. Planning is so boring and it’s easy to think you don’t need it when you have a good idea. But jumping in head first and just writing leaves you with a lot of plot holes and loose ends. Planning can even be fun if done right. It’s so fascinating to think
